A person may feel more stress on a specific occasion if the conflict still exists or if the decision was more significant. Approach-approach conflict seems to be the easiest of the three, and avoidance-avoidance conflict seems to be the hardest. Approach-avoidance conflict is in between the two. It is neither fully positive nor negative and, for the most part, it tends to present a happy-medium.
