…would require a lot of time and work from all the countries involved, I believe that it must happen in order to stop the horrible human rights abuses that are being committed in Sierra Leone, as a direct result of profits made from the sale conflict diamonds. The crimes committed by the Revolutionary United Front are crimes against humanity, and if we allow them to continue by buying conflict diamonds, we ourselves are at fault.
