…showed last 75 words of 1001 total…poems are memories of the poets and both are dispirited poems. There are also subjects that dealt with in only one of the poems as well. In 'Mid-Term Break' they are his family, the community and death. In 'The Prize' they are her students and death. In conclusion, I have found that 'Mid-Term Break' and 'The Prize' are two contrasting yet similar poems. The topics dealt with in each poem vary but some are alike.
