To summarize, in comparing the point of view, narration, and characters of “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Metamorphosis” we see extreme differences in each. Poe and Kafka use these differences to draw the reader into their story and into their lives. I truly believe that each story was written with a little reference to their own existence.
