Clara Barton Clarissa Harlowe Barton was her name, a smart, and intelligent women. Clara is what people called her. Sarah Barton gave birth to Clara on December 25, 1821 in a small hospital in North Oxford, Massachusetts. The American Red Cross was still stationed in Clara’s home though. Clara Barton had an amazing, eventful life and many creative ideas. Clara will always be known for what she did through out her life and she definitely deserves to be recognized for all her work she accomplished through out her life.
