Choosing only three “defining” moments in Canadian history has been quite a challenging task. The Conscription Crisis in 1917 because it defined the cultural split in Canada, Vimy Ridge in WWI because of its nationalistic stirring, and the election of Pierre Elliott Trudeau because he helped to shape the nation we’ve become, are some of the most powerful events from the twentieth century and will undoubtably affectthe future of Canada.
