I started playing basketball when I was ten years old. Every afternoon, I would play with my friends in the local elementary school court and without any formal coaching I became quite good. Then in July 1999 I had to join the army and do my national service. For three months-during the initial basic training-I could not play basketball. In October, when we were assigned for our respective units, I was called to the armed forces national team and resumed my basketball “life”.
