When the United States was first starting they needed some form of government. The Articles of Confederation were formed to direct this new nation. In conclusion, the Articles were a success in getting us our freedom and starting our new country. However, there were several weaknesses in it, which caused it to in the end fail. The government had no money, and no power. These are two things that are essential for a government to succeed.
