The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has run its respective course. The alliance is no longer a feasible option in the post cold war world with the dissolution of the Soviet Union. NATO served it's purpose and deterred the Soviet menace from conquering Western Europe. Nations do not have friends, they have common interests. Now it is time to rely and trust in the U.N.
