Apartheid ? What do think that word means? Well in the Afrikaans language it means separateness. It was a cruel way of separating people. Four different groups were formed from this new law. After that he got his B.A. degree through the University of South Africa in 1954. Tutu started to protest against the apartheid by negotiating peacefully to the people of South Africa. He interested people around the whole world and from them he received numerous awards, prizes, and honorary degrees. He also led church groups and established peaceful funds.
