Antigone - Creon makes errors in judgmen
Throughout the play Antigone, written by Sophocles, Creon makes errors in judgment that eventually leads to the death of his wife, son, and Antigone. His headstrong and obstinate way of ruling is what causes his own demise. He believes that he is above the gods, and even what they say cannot influence his actions. “My voice is the one voice giving orders in this city!” (p.515 ll.105)

At end, Creon’s poor decisions and lack of judgment is caused mainly by his obstinate and godlike attitude. He will not listen to anyone but himself, and believes whatever he thinks is right. He becomes sympathetic at the end, but only towards himself. He feels self-pity, and believes he should die because he could not live with the pain he has caused himself.
