Antigone and Wirz had different morals and beliefs, but ended up having the same tragic fates. Antigone believed in doing what she thought was right. Wirz did what he was told to do.

Both Antigone and Wirz ended up dead for what they believed was right. Antigone was sentenced to death by her king, even though he knew that what she had done was morally right. She decided to take her own life before the king’s sentence was fulfilled. Wirz was sentenced to death because he was found guilty for the death of thousands of union soldiers. He also decided to commit suicide.
