1. My reaction to Finny’s death was very appalling and astonishing. I would have never expected Finny to die mainly because I saw him as a main character and I thought that by making Finny die they ended the story at that specific point. I now think that this was a very appropriate ending to the story and that it gave Gene a new meaning of life and how fragile it really

his war was over. His enemy in some way went with Finny. To me when he says a “Separate Peace” he really means that he has to find a separate peace for himself in some way. I believe that he did achieve his separate peace in the story. He may have achieved his peace better if Finny hadnt of died. I think that all the blame from Finnys death had some effects on Genes peace.
