America is known throughout the world as the land of the free, but it has always been questioned for the influence morals have on the American society. Some nations believe America is affected too much by morals. China for instance believes human rights and moral beliefs are unnecessary. In other nations, America is believed to be too immoral for its usage of such things like the death penalty and abortion.

So in order for America to be “America,” maybe the nation needs both. Operating with only one would only lead to chaos. America would become a crazy, mixed-up country. Perhaps, the blend of morals and freedoms show the real diversity of America. Not only is America diverse in race and ethnicity, it is diverse in ideologies. And that, my fellow citizens, is why America is America.
