All Quiet on the Western Front This movie was a great example of an anti-war film. I have never seen a movie that depicted war scenes as graphic as this movie. For the time the film was made, I didn’t think films were that graphic, but this one certainly was. The battle scenes and the effects used were very well done, even for 1930. I think this film should be shown in history class when learning about World War 1, because it really gives a good example of how brutal the war really was.
