Abraham Lincoln said many things relating to his thoughts and opinions on slavery. One famous quote that will never be forgotton was, "Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." …that he actually had to go through. It also brightened up my mind and explained to me that if you really do want something, then you should never give up on your dream. From my opinion, i believe that Abraham Lincoln's beliefs were very important to our modern society today. I wish though, that slavery had never been an issue. It would have made a lot of things in the United States a little easier.
