This battle between the Aboriginal people of Canada and Mexico and their respective governments is far from over. The indigenous people are still not treated as they should be seeing as though these nations took their land and then treated them poorly. Many more things must be accomplished before Natives can truly consider themselves successful in their goals of self-government and autonomy.
