Perhaps if her father wasn’t so overbearing or maybe if Homer settled down a little bit Emily wouldn’t have gone insane and committed such a crime; Did she know she was wrong for killing Homer, or was she so mentally sick, fearing he would desert her leaving her with what she had to do. Who really knows, maybe the servant knows but he sure isn’t going to tell anyone.
