As tempting as it might be to say that the play is about not realizing what you have until it’s gone, it is not. Hollow lives do eventually collapse. With no foundation, a marriage cannot stay together anymore than a trailer park in a tornado. Nora and Torvald’s marriage was scattered as if nothing less than a tornado had driven through it. No relationship can survive if nothing is there to build upon.
