…choice. Somehow, the girls have changed his perspective on life. His initial reason for quitting was wrong and he realizes it but he has had an epiphany about himself. He now knows he is no longer willing to try to meet what in his mind seem to be unrealistic expectations of society and this road will be difficult but at least he has chosen a path to begin this first step toward becoming a man.
